Scotland: Nine aircraft targeted by lasers in one night at Glasgow Airport

Nine aircraft were targeted by laser pens while landing at Glasgow Airport on November 25 2013. The incidents happened between 6 and 10 pm local time. In some cases, lasers were shone directly in pilots’ eyes.

Police said they believe all but one of the lasers were aimed from the Duntocher, Drumchapel or Knightswood areas north/northeast of Glasgow Airport. Police called this “extremely dangerous, not to mention stupid and reckless.” They are asking anyone with information to contact them on the non-emergency phone number 101.
